Evaluation

Overall I have found using 3Ds Max very difficult. I feel I haven’t yet grasped the idea of the program and will need a lot of practice in the future. However I managed to pick up 2D very quickly producing good results.

If I could create the animation again I would have liked to have gained more knowledge over summer to use the software and become aware of the tools. I would allow myself more time to render using the modifier tools such as grass as they look very realistic and add to the animation. I found auto key easy to use but sometimes found cameras tricky. Especially when using multiple cameras. I feel the materials aid the animation well in 3ds max and you can create realistic objects.

Overall enjoyed the experience of using the software, I just hope to better my skills in the near future.

Premiere Pro

I firstly imported my files into Premiere pro.I then dragged and dropped them to the timeline in order.I had to shorten and cut certain parts to speed up and slow down parts of the animation.I then added my audio track in which i had to cut and fade out to the correct time.Overall my experience on premiere pro is alot better than 3ds max.

Rendering

I used a good rendering technique to make sure my animation is of good quality.I rendered in HDTV 1280X720. I also used the mental ray renderer.
As the person had a hair anf fur modifier on him the rendering took a very long time.If I had the chance the create the animation again I would use less hair and fur as it would allow me more time to make more scenes and be able to see mistakes before rendering.

I used the same max files for each of the flying scenes as i was using the same object.I used target cameras throughout to create the moving .I set auto key and dragged the timeline bar to the end .I then moved it to the position I wanted the wild man to be.

I decided to give my animation a title scene. I used the text tool and selected the positioning and typo.
Once the text was inline I decided to use an enviroment for the background which I imported in as a bitmap.
I opened up material editor and dragged and dropped in my material.I then rendered the scene to make sure it looked okay.

Here is the screen shot of the tools your able to change for the text.
This is the background I used for the enviroment which I imported in as a bipmap enviroment.
Here are some screen shots of the wild man animation scenes.
I grouped the animation to animate and move the whole peice.

I used a target camera on auto key to give the impression the camera is viewing the object from a distance as a whole. The animation speeds up as it gets closer to the camera.
